Policy Updates:
Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,
This is a reminder that beginning February 15, we will be enforcing updated school policies regarding tuition and uniform requirements. We have also detailed other policies relating to facility use and student pick-up procedures.
Please review the key policies below.
Tuition Policy and Late Fees:
There are no adjustments, credits, or extensions due to vacations, absences, holidays, tournaments, or school closures.
Tuition is due on the scheduled billing date.
If tuition is paid five days late, a late fee equal to 10% of the tuition will be applied.
After five days, an additional $10 per day late fee will be charged until the balance is paid in full.
If tuition is more than two weeks late, students with unpaid balances will be suspended from classes until all balances are resolved.
Uniform and Footwear Requirements:
To participate in class, students must wear:
Official NOVA Wushu Academy uniform or apparel
Wushu tournament shirts
College Wushu apparel
Wushu-specific shoes
Outdoor shoes, tennis shoes, and casual clothing are not permitted on the training floor. Students who are not wearing proper attire will not be permitted to train.
Weapons Policy:
Students are responsible for their own weapons. Weapons must not be left at the school or placed on tables in the seating area. All weapons must be taken home after each class to prevent loss, damage, or accidental mix-ups.
Cleanliness and Facility Etiquette:
No food or eating is permitted on the practice floor.
Any food spills in the seating area must be cleaned immediately.
All personal water bottles must be taken home after each class. Water bottles left behind create clutter and will be discarded if unclaimed.
Student Pick-Up Policy:
Parents or guardians must pick up students promptly at the end of the last class of the day. Repeated late pick-ups affect our ability to close the facility and attend to other responsibilities.
A ten minute grace period is provided after the last class ends.
A $5 late fee will be charged for every 10 minutes following the grace period.
Continued late pick-ups without communication will result in increased late fees and other measures as needed.
